Pepito Family Christmases
As a family, we have been celebrating Christmas for 33 years. That is a lot of Christmases. In the last 8 years, we consciously decided to switch from spending Christmas Day with extended family to nestling into the bosom of our home with immediate family–parents, siblings, and the gift of sibling spouses and grandchildren. At the same time, friends around us also went through similar transitions, so in the period where, ironically, we have the most time to focus outward–the young children are grown up–we have the most time to rest and be still, and focus inward on our family.
Regardless of the number of obligations or events, making Christmas "awash with delight" was paramount to our parents. We could be living in a trailer where the most exciting gift was a Beanie Baby picked out very lovingly for each one of us by our dad or the small backpacks stuffed with simple toiletries and travel-appropriate toys curated by our mom that we opened as we drove Interstate 99 to spend Christmas on a missionary trip in Mexico. The holiday season is a time for making cherished memories with our little ones. But let's face it, the holidays can also feel overwhelming for busy moms. With packed schedules and endless to-do lists, finding time for meaningful activities can be a challenge. That's where Jennifer Pepito's Christmas Book Flood comes in.

Day 1: Storytime and Christmas Countdown
The week begins with Christmas Day in the Morning by Pearl Buck, a beautiful story that captures the true meaning of giving from the heart. Cosy up with your little ones and savour a quiet moment together as the story sparks conversations about kindness and family. Afterwards, create a festive paper chain for a Christmas countdown. Preschoolers will love the simplicity of cutting and linking red and green paper strips. Each day's link becomes a tangible reminder of the approaching Christmas Day. It's a small daily ritual that brings holiday anticipation to life.
And there's more! The Peaceful Press Christmas Book Flood is a story book Advent filled with 25 days of beautiful literature and engaging activities for each day leading up to Christmas, including:
