The Peaceful Press: Unearthing Wonder

My family enjoyed using Unearthing Wonder during this Advent season!

I ordered this to do with my children, ages 4.5 and nearly 7. It has been a great curriculum/study to teach my kids about what animals do in the winter, and also create a new rhythm as the holiday season changes our homeschooling. We had never studied advent before like this and it's been a great experience. I will say however, the book that is suggested goes way over their heads. I haven't read the children's version, but I think for the ages of my kids it would have been more appropriate. But for more middle and upper elementary it probably works better. We tweaked it to make it work. I'm very thankful I tried this out this December though. Thank you for putting the work together to create it.

Peaceful press was the reason I homeschooled. I bought their preschool package blindly, not having any idea how to homeschool and it brought so much happiness to my family. In fact I still use books and ideas from the preschool lessons 4 years later. This Christmas guide has not disappointed. My kids love waking up each morning to read and light our candles. Thank you for bringing so much peace and joy to our home.
