Building a Supportive Homeschool Community

Building a Supportive Homeschool Community

One of the most important factors in creating a connected family is having a supportive community.

Strong families make strong communities, but when we don't have any support for virtuous values, it can be hard to keep pursuing the high call of raising our children.

In the past year, we've been developing connected families and restored communities through the Restoration Home online community.

We meet monthly to discuss books that nurture hope and faith, send out weekly homeschool lesson plans to encourage connection, and work on monthly habit challenges to develop rhythm in our homes.

Members of our community experience better relationships with their children, more peace in their homeschool, and a better quality of life as they begin to see habits fall into place.

After our month working on Chore and Routine Pack training, Amber said-

"Chore charts changed everything for us. My kids feel (are!) so capable and it’s only encouraged their self confidence. I’ve learned to delegate, and this entire year has been a good lesson in moving out of a hustle mindset and more into an unhurried, collaborative space."

We celebrated all of the progress that our families made with habits this year with a retreat in Tennessee. We gathered among the tall trees to watercolor paint, enjoy fireside chats, work on creating a rule of life, and enjoy a morning time practice. It felt like the sweetest family reunion.

If you would like to experience more peace in your homeschool and nurture a supportive community, watch for our group opening in January, and get started with learning about the Restoration Home Community values by listening to the weekly podcast episode here.
