An absolutely wonderful and peaceful advent resource. I am so excited for December 1st. Thank you PP for another wonderful open-and-go, connection building resource.
I was looking for a Unit Study centered around Thanksgiving. I've used Peaceful Press in the past and have always enjoyed their resources. However, I found the reading and activity choices clearly geared more towards an older child. I do believe this study was an excerpt from their Pioneers Volume 2 - so it makes sense that it would be geared towards an older audience. We were not able to use most of the curriculum for my kindergartner, and I ended up needing to go with another Thanksgiving style unit study. With that said, had my children been older, we definitely would've enjoyed what was provided. I will be hanging onto this and perhaps revisit it down the road.
I am so glad to have found such a fun Advent study for our Christmas season!
I love that it gives you a daily layout that you can follow if you would like. It helps me to stay on track. The weekly baking is fun and enjoying. Sometimes it can be hard to find the books needed but a lot of them are on YouTube if you can’t find them in the library.
