THE PARENT GUIDE
The Kind Kingdom parent guide is a Charlotte Mason-inspired guide to European history for elementary students. The guide will lead you through daily readings designed to provide a 30-week overview of major events in Europe, using the Chronicles of Narnia, Grimm’s Fairy Tales, and Beautiful Stories From Shakespeare as a spine.
As your child learns about new people and places through the recommended books and projects, they will gain a greater understanding of the foundations of European culture and literature, and while many of the events were anything but kind, your children will gain a moral imagination as they read about how brave people responded to difficult events. The parent guide includes suggested language arts activities, poetry, hymns, Bible verses, map work, timeline work, science experiments, art, practical life skills, and much more. The digital bundle also includes an extended book list for parents or students who want more reading on the subjects covered.
THE STUDENT SHEETS-KINDER, PRINT, CURSIVE, OR ELEMENTARY
The student sheets include Bible verses, hand-drawn illustrations, poetry, and quotes in both print and cursive. These sheets will help your child with beginning composition and grammar, form drawing, handwriting, and vocabulary skills as they trace or copy their page. The student sheets also include several maps for getting a sense of the changing political boundaries in Europe from the Middle Ages through the Cold War.
THE KIND KINGDOM RECIPES
The Kind Kingdom Recipes includes recipes to correspond with the weekly lessons. You will expand the skills you learned in The Playful Pioneers and The Peaceful Preschool to give your child opportunities to connect more deeply with the time period and the people they are studying through these recipes.
THE KIND KINGDOM ART
The Kind Kingdom includes art prints to coincide with the weekly lessons in the parent guide. We cover a range of artists including Monet, DaVinci, Nash, Constable, and more.
The Kind Kingdom is literature and project-based curriculum for elementary students. Written by Jennifer Pepito, a homeschool mama with a heart for encouraging parents to create radiant connection and a beautiful learning experience, right in the comfort of your own home.
